Here is why Lionel Messi deserved to win the golden ball

The decision to award Lionel Messi the Golden Ball moments after he had lost in a World Cup final was certainly a strange one, but any suggestion that he didn’t deserve to win it is, quite frankly, utterly mental.

Messi was superb, brilliant, incredible… all of the other words, in Brazil at once. Perhaps you hadn’t noticed? Let us show you the ways:
Teams set up their entire defence in order to stop him

It’s easier to do great things when the team you are playing against hasn’t decided to man mark you with all of their players.

Iran did this brilliantly for 90 minutes but all it took was a yard of space against tired legs and this happened:

Security operatives arrest fake Boko Haram

The Defence Headquarters has announced the arrest of a man who specializes in creating panic by sending out text messages threatening attack by Boko Haram terrorists.

The suspect, Ugwu Lawrence (pictured) who was tracked by security operatives after dispatching text messages of impending bombings of some hotels in Abuja, confessed that he employed the gimmick because the management of one of the organisation failed to offer him employment.

The suspect further confessed that his motive was a ploy to instil fear in the mind of the management’s chairman, and pleaded that he is actually not a terrorist. The suspect is still undergoing further interrogation preparatory to prosecution.

Armed robbers who dress up as women to rob, arrested & paraded in Ibadan

An unsuspecting womanizer would easily fall into their traps seeing their feminine faces made-up with cosmetics, with weave-on hairdo that dangles on both sides of their broad shoulders.

Their coated lips look inviting. No doubt, countless men must have fallen prey to them. Many passersby who thronged the state headquarters of the Police command at Eleiyele, Ibadan to catch a glimpse of these attractive “women” could not hide their disbelief.

Though, their chests were flat which should convince doubting Thomases that the suspects were not women, some still insisted on seeing their private parts due to their looks.

But, behind these deceptive looks are more than meets the ordinary eye. The hearts of both Omooba Oyewole and Lawal Kabir are fortified with cold steel. They are suspected dare-devil robbers. If they have conscience, it must be made of solid concrete.Continue...
