Photos of the suicide bomber killed in Borno today

A male suicide bomber failed in his attempt to attack a mosque filled with Muslim faithfuls in Sulaimanti coummunity in the outskirts of Maiduguri, Borno state today.

The terrorist, carrying Improvised Explosive Device (IED), was the lone casualty after the IED strapped on him exploded. 5 persons sustained injuries during the failed attempt. Graphic photos of the suicide bomber after the cut..

Many injured as Suicide bomber attacks mosque in Borno

Many people were injured after a male suicide bomber blew himself up at a mosque in Sulimanti ward of Maiduguri, the Borno state capital this morning.

According to reports, two male suicide bombers arrived the mosque but one of them ran away without detonating the bomb strapped on him while the bomb on the other one exploded a few metres from the Masalacin Kofar Shehu Councillor mosque where Muslim faithful were performing their morning prayers. He was the only casualty in the attack. Members of the Civilian Joint Task Force later arrived to assess the situation..

Find Solutions To Farmers/herdsmen Crisis, Buhari Tells Governors


President Muhammadu Buhari has challenged state governors to find lasting solutions to the persistent cases of farmers/herdsmen crisis in the country.

The president gave the challenge at an interactive session with members of Katsina Elders’ Forum organised by the Katsina State Government in Katsina.

He tasked the governors to go back to a comprehensive study and report carried out by the defunct Petroleum Trust Fund (PTF) on how best to address farmers/herdsmen conflicts.

President Muhammadu Buhari vowed, yesterday, in his home state of Katsina, to use all resources at his disposal to crush any agitation for the division of Nigeria.
The president said the country fought a civil war which claimed over two million lives in order to be united.

Buhari, who spoke at the palace of Emir of Katsina also urged Nigerians to be patient with his government as, according to him, the current hardship being experienced, may not be unconnected with efforts at laying a solid foundation for sustainable nation building.
Buhari was in Katsina to attend the state’s economic and investment forum which he will officially declare open this morning.
