Falconets star, Courtney Dike rejects NFF's money

Falconets star, Courtney Dike has revealed that the opportunity to play for the falconets is way better than any monetary gifts she could receive.

She revealed this after the Nigeria Football Federation had offered her $7000 for her participation at the 2014 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, held in Canada.

Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Head of competition was visibly shocked by the young girls gesture and the stance of the Dike family in rejecting the money.

“Courtney Dike is based in America, when she was paid the outstanding 10 days worth of allowances in the tune of seven thousand dollars she turned it down,” Sanusi said

“When we called her Mother to confirm the delivery of the allowances, she declined it and insisted the opportunity to serve Nigeria was all the reward the family needed.

Besides she said she was to young to earn that much,” the Federation member recounted.

Senior Brother, Bright had been on the verge of making it to the 2014 FIFA world Cup but was not called up by Keshi aftr he sustained a foot injury which sidelined him for months.
