Senate Approves 3 years Validity for Jamb Result



The Senate on Thursday, passed into law, a Bill for an Act to amend the law establishing the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Act 2016.


The new law now extends the validity of the result of the board’s examination to three years as against the previous one year.


After the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Tertiary Education and TETFUND, Senator Jibril Barau laid the report, the Senate unanimously passed the amendment Bill. In his ruling, the Senate President, Dr.

Bukola Saraki said the amended Act shall be “a great relief for both students and parents as it will reduce their financial and psychological burdens”.
